We can beat the Class of 2007 - our goal for participation is 85%.

07 Results

  • 80% of the Class of 2007 made gifts in support of the Senior Class Gift Program, breaking the 2006 record of 73%.
  • 11 CFS organizations reached 100% participation in their respective groups: Alpha Phi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Lambda Upsilon Lambda, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Gamma Delta Chi, Chi Heorot, Delta Delta Delta, Sigma Nu, Epsilon Kappa Theta, Bones Gate and Tabard.
  • SCG was a true student effort.
    • Three interns: Shala Byers, Amy Rolfvondenbaumen and Troy Stewart led a team of 33 volunteers.
    • Jeremy Debate ’07 created the first student designed and maintained SCG website. Students were able to create testimonials about why giving back to Dartmouth is important. Jeremy also created a DA$H online giving page.
    • Margo Hurley ’07’s painting of the ’07 Bonfire became the SCG poster. This poster was given to everyone who made a gift.
  • The Senior Executive Committee (SEC), leadership of the class, had 100% participation.
  • Barry MacLean '60, Brad Evans '64, Peter Fahey '68, Ed Haldeman '70 and Karen Francis '84 challenged the Class of 2007. The Challengers will make a gift of $1,000 for every one percentage point (10 donors) that the seniors raise, with all money going toward scholarships.
  • Revenue
    • The students themselves raised $15,145.10.
    • The Class total with gifts from parents and friends is $23,326.71.
    • The Challengers will contribute $80,000 to the SCG.
    • The Senior Class Gift Program 2007 has raised $108,407.71, all going towards financial aid.
  • 15 Dartmouth College Fund Scholars will be named in recognition of the $15,145.10 the students themselves raised.
  • All student donors to the 2007 SCG campaign were invited back to meet their 15 scholars from the Class of 2011 over Homecoming weekend this past fall.
